Regenerative Agriculture

Farmers in the UK are making incredible progress in Regenerative Agriculture, but there remains a lack of financial and operational support from the governing systems to help drive this issue as a priority for food security. We believe our approach to impact assessment can be used add value to farmers and help make regenerative practices a more affordable and accessible option.

Through Farm Conscience we are helping to unlock private financial flows into nature by developing quantative data sets at a catchment level and assigning value to sustainable, regenerative practices and success. We are currently building pilots with key natural capital stakeholders providing solid foundations for global change and scale.

  • Green Bond Initiative

  • Soil & Biodiversity Monitoring

  • Natural Flood Prevention

  • Coordinated Catchment Area Land Management

  • Land Management Reporting - including geospatial data and IoT sensor data

  • Auditing and data analysis

Farm’d

Farm’d is our new Impact Assessment Index for Regenerative Agriculture. Our goal is to create multi-layered value for stakeholders including farmers, buyers, investors, supermarkets and the supply chain. In the same way as sus’d, the Farm’d index breaks down the complex impacts of regenerative agriculture into 5 key areas: Farm Governance and Practices, Ecosystem Health, Soil Health, Climate Change and GHG Emissions, Kindness and Social Responsibility. We believe Farm’d can create value for farmers who use regenerative practices, providing an alternative to the singular ‘Organic-only’ approach. We’ll minimise extra work and cost to farmers by mapping and gapping what already exists and using frameworks and data that already exists such as GFM and regen10.

This is an on-going project. To learn more and request a copy of our Project Report, please contact callthecricket@brandconscience.org

Food Scoring: We believe there is a difference between what buyers, investors and institutions need from an agricultural impact assessment and what consumers need in order to make conscious sustainable choices. As such we’re also working on a ‘Food’ impact index that would include impacts throughout the supply chain (much like sus’d) and can be used in reports and on labels and packaging for food products.
